ReplyDeleteI was very apprehensive to wire money to a stranger in a foreign country. Silvia assured me that this is how she conducts business however I was still a little leery…. Any how I did and I promise you this is NOT a scam! Mango Walk is a very special place with commanding views of the Caribbean Sea. I defiantly will return and highly recommend renting a home vs. staying at a hotel. I have been to the area twice now and will never stay anywhere else. Oh and if you still think this is a scam you can email me I am a Hotel Concierge in Chicago.

I stayed at Jungle Love house, and my brother stayed in Casa Verde. Both homes were very nice. Silvia is a pleasure to deal with and is very helpful and trust worthy. I have spent a lot of time in the area and have looked at dozens of rental houses. Silvia's listings are top notch for the area.
ReplyDeleteIt will soon be a year since we stayed at Yumka House... I could almost tell how many minutes! This week of living in the jungle, of sunrises watched alone on the beach, in a preserved natural environment, of drinking delectable coffee in our hamocs while a family of howler monkeys passed by the house, this week we will never forget!
ReplyDeletePuerto Viejo is easily accessed by bus from San Jose, and from there we travelled around renting bikes and using public transports: a great vacation plan for non-driving adventurers ; )

I stayed at LaCasita in Cocles last winter for my 2 month holiday in "Paradise". I was apprehensive about renting this property that I was only able to see in photos over the Internet, but Silvia assured me that I would not be disappointed, and she was right.
ReplyDeleteHer honesty and helpfulness made me feel welcomed and "safe", and she accommodated all my questions with patience and professionalism.
LaCasita turned out to be a wonderful home, built beside the Rio Negro, on a large and perfectly manicured property, and everything I needed was within walking or biking distance.
I plan to return again this winter.
