I found Mamakuna on craigslist and knew nothing of Puerto Viejo other than it was on the caribbean side of Costa Rica. Silvia, the property manager, answered all my questions over the course of the month of my planning and made reserving a place almost effortless. Once in Puerto Viejo, she always responded quickly to my requests and the houses that I ended up staying at were amazing! I'd recommend Mamakuna and Silvia to anyone visiting Puerto Viejo.
